Dr. Mehmet Kemal Özkan

Dr. Mehmet Kemal Özkan, CEO and President, is a co-founder of Momentum. He received a B.S. degree in 1988 in electrical engineering from Boğaziçi University, Turkey and a Ph.D. degree in 1992 in electrical engineering from University of Rochester. He also received an MBA degree in 1997 from Indiana University. Prior to Momentum, he was with Thomson Multimedia, Indianapolis, Indiana, from 1992 to 1998. He has been involved in various aspects of digital communications technologies worldwide including the formation of the digital TV concept and the international standards including MPEG, ATSC, DVB, DAVIC. He received an Emmy Award from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for contributions to U.S. digital TV standard in 1997. He holds 15 U.S. patents in the fields of digital TV broadcasting and video processing and has authored and co-authored a large number of technical publications in the field of image and video processing.

Prof. Dr. Arif Tanju Erdem

Prof. Arif Tanju Erdem, is a co-founder of Momentum. He received a Ph.D. degree in 1990 in electrical engineering from University of Rochester, Rochester, New York, U.S.A. He holds 9 U.S. patents and has authored or co-authored more than 50 technical publications in the field of video processing and face modeling. Currently he is the Dean of he Engineering Faculty at Ozyegin University.

Burak Barmanbek

Burak Barmanbek, is a co-founder of Momentum. He received an MBA degree from Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio, USA, and a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Boğaziçi University, Turkey. He is the creator and producer of Momentum’s 3D adventure game Culpa Innata™ which was released in the U.S. and several countries across Europe in 2008.
